Covalen is looking to fill a Commercial Lines Broker position.
Job description
The incumbent must ensure customer satisfaction by responding to their needs and maintaining excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include
- Ensure that renewals are completed on time;
- Ensure customer retention;
- Process new business promptly;
- Perform risk analysis, review coverages and identify changes or deficiencies with respect to the last renewal;
- Prepare, verify and forward various insurance documents such as quotes, cover notes, invoices, certificates of insurance, endorsements, etc.
- Prepare applications completed in the previous year and those to be completed for the new year.
- Take the information for the update with the customer or in collaboration with the producer (if applicable);
- Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the producer (if applicable);
- Provide customer service, receive calls, respond to specific needs and work in collaboration with the "producer," etc;
- Negotiate renewal and modification conditions (endorsement) with insurers;
- Ensure collection of accounts receivable in collaboration with the Finance Department;
- Follow up on insurers' recommendations and inform the producer of any problems;
- Handle policyholder claims and assist as required.
Your profile and skills
- Commercial property and casualty insurance broker with a valid license (AMF);
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in commercial lines insurance;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written);
- Knowledge of Epic software and Microsoft Office suite (an asset)
- Team spirit;
- Sense of responsibility;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several files simultaneously.
