Job description

The incumbent must ensure customer satisfaction by responding to their needs and maintaining excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include

  • Handle new business and renewals within the prescribed deadlines;
  • Ensure customer retention;
  • Conduct risk analysis, review coverage and identify necessary changes or omissions from the last renewal;
  • Prepare insurance proposals for the previous year and for the new year;
  • Prepare, review and send various insurance documents (quote, cover notes, invoices, certificates of insurance, endorsements, etc.);
  • Collect information to update clients;
  • Collaborate with the producer to develop marketing strategies;
  • Provide exceptional customer service

 

  • Negotiate renewal and modification conditions (endorsement) with insurers;
  • Ensure collection of accounts receivable in collaboration with the Finance Department;
  • Follow up on insurers' recommendations and inform the producer of any issues;
  • Handle policyholder claims and assist as required to the claim department or insurer;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Your profile and skills

  • Hold a valid Commercial property and casualty insurance broker with a valid license (AMF) and a RIBO License;
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in aviation or 5-8 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to regularly serve the Western Canada market and Fluency in spoken and written French is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office;
  • Knowledge of the EPIC software is an asset;
  • Team player;
  • Strong sense of responsibility;
  • Must be based in Montreal or Western Canada.
